The major goal of this study is to examine how early life social determinants of health, and repetitive head impacts from playing tackle football can impact brain health in Black males.

What is our purpose?
The main aim of this study is to examine how head injuries from tackle football and early-life social factors affect brain health, MRI scans, and blood markers in Black male former tackle football players and Black men who did not play football.

About the research project:
This research project includes both virtual and in-person participation components. 
Virtual: Completing questionnaires about early life social conditions, sports history, mood, and general health. 
In-person site visit (Boston University or Duke University): Completing cognitive and neurological exams, MRI, and blood samples.
